How to make money with affiliate programs and affiliate networks as newbie ?

Well though I'm not an expert about affiliate marketing, I do know that these affiliate programs have made money for me since I started making money online working at home last year.

As a newbie in affiliate marketing, I didn't know how to go about it in the beginning.

All I know was I could place text or banner ads at my sites and I would be paid if my site visitor click the ads and complete the required "action".

The "action" on which you will be paid varies.

Below are the some example of the "action" that these affiliate program will pay you if you send visitors or traffic to their site :-

Pay Per Click - You will be paid when your site visitor click the affiliate ads. Simple. You will be paid for every click that your site generate. The amount you make depend on various factors.

Pay Per Sign Up - You get paid when someone click the affiliate ads and sign up with affiliate advertisers. Normally a sign up is confirmed when the user confirm and validate the confirmation email.

Pay Per Sale - You get paid when your site visitor click the affiliate ads and purchase something at the affiliate advertiser site. The sale is confirmed when the customer made the payment. However, sometime this is not the case as there are many scammers out there, you sale might be reversed due to credit card frauds or any reason.

Pay Per Impression - You get paid for showing a banner at your site for a minimum number of times. For example, you place an affiliate banner and the banner was viewed or shown at your site for 1000 times, you get paid $1.00. This means that the affiliate deal was that you get paid $1.00 for every 1000 times the affiliate banner is shown to site visitors.

These are just some examples on how you can make money with affiliate programs and affiliate networks.
